As president of Cardinal Stritch University and on behalf of our entire Stritch community, I welcome you to our Web site. I hope that through it you will learn more about the wonderful things that make this university unique.
We are a Catholic university, founded by the Sisters of Saint Francis of Assisi in 1937 and we remain rooted in four key Franciscan values:creating a caring community, sharing compassion, reverencing creation and peacemaking. Our values are as appropriate to modern-day society as they were in the 13th century when they were lived out by St. Francis of Assisi in his complete love and service to God and neighbor. In the spirit of St. Francis, Stritch works to improve not only the lives of our students and graduates, but also the society in which we all live.
Since our founding, we have grown to become the largest Franciscan institution in the country, and we take that distinction and responsibility very seriously.
