Applied Business Management
An associate degree of applied business management provides students with a core consisting of written and oral communication skills, management skills, accounting, marketing, e-commerce, economics, liberal arts courses, as well as natural sciences. Applied management courses will require that students work in groups to complete projects as a team. In order to build trust in the abilities of others and also trust in the abilities within one's own leadership, these exercises will challenge students with typical issues that may occur in the workplace.
Students will be able to see first hand why decision making, problem solving, and critical thinking skills are necessary when managing a team. Once students learn these skills, they will be able to take more specific courses that will teach them more about the areas of business management they want to go into after graduation.
Businesses large and small need employees who are able to complete multiple tasks and who are also able to lead others. This means being able to make decisions that will benefit everyone in the group as well as the company.
