Let the Games Begin!
Behind every Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and PC game is a game software developer.
Not exactly a rock star... but pretty darn close.
A Westwood degree in game software development will prepare you for a career in programming and creating games. Specialties you might pursue include game software programming, game designs, application development and even game testing.
Our faculty (software professionals themselves) will share real-world experiences and insights while mentoring you through hands-on lab training in advanced software engineering practices and software development using industry-standard programming languages. They'll guide you through game artificial intelligence, game engine architecture, game project management and more. And ultimately they'll counsel you in building a student portfolio and creating a complete working game to share when applying for a job.
There's only one thing better than doing what you love: Doing what you love and getting paid for it.
