The West Virginia Junior College, originally Capitol City Commercial College, was founded in 1892 and is located in downtown Charleston, WV. West Virginia Junior College is fully accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools in Washington, D.C. and is licensed to offer diplomas and associate degrees in the State of West Virginia.
The overall goal of the West Virginia Junior College is to provide specialized programs in career fields that assist our graduates in developing the tools, attitudes, and communication skills that will enhance employment opportunities.
Only the Charleston & Bridgeport campuses have day & night classes. MORGANTOWN IS DAY CLASSES ONLY.
Financial
Financial aid through grants, loans, and work study are available to those who qualify. Scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors. A WVJC representative will work with you to explain all that you need to do to apply for financial aid. At the end of the meeting, you'll walk away with a personalized financial aid package.
Also, the fact that you will graduate and start working within a relatively short period of time means that while others are in school and paying for an education, you'll be in your career earning money.
