The Associate of Science degree in Orthopaedic Technology at Virginia College is an exciting new program designed to prepare you for positions that assist orthopaedic surgeons in the care of sick and disabled persons. Among other things, orthopaedic technologists apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and braces as they work closely with the physicians and other support personnel. In addition, this program will focus on medical terminology, medical office procedures, and insurance coding that will prepare you for specialized employment in this vital field.
