 Veterinary Technician
From assisting in surgery to monitoring the sick or injured, Veterinary Technicians help care for all types of animals. Our specialized program includes access to an on-site kennel, surgical room, and the equipment you'll use as a veterinary technician. You will also be part of a rewarding externship.
During this 16-month program, Vet Tech Institute's on-site kennel, surgical, x-ray laboratory and off-site large animal facilities provide endless opportunities to "do" as you learn.

The Pittsburgh school offers:
- Associate in Specialized Technology Degree, which can be completed in 16 months
- An AVMA-approved program - after graduation, you'll be eligible to take the national licensing exam and become a licensed veterinary technician
