You will begin with the basics: medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. You will look at the area of medical office management, acquiring skills with Microsoft Office, medical math, and pharmacology. You will then dig into medical insurance and can gain detailed knowledge of HCPCS, DRG, CPT, and ICD-9 coding. You will also learn how to appropriately bill, file, and reimburse for the different types of insurance coverage.
