This program is designed to meet the ever-increasing need for trained computer professionals in the area of information systems security. The program addresses today's demanding security issues and focuses on business security measures and practices. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be prepared for entry-level employment as a Security Analyst, Security Administrator, Security Specialist, or Security Technician.
Graduates from the Information Systems Security program will have the basic knowledge and skills to perform duties that would be required of an entry-level employee in the areas of security services and models, security auditing, security management, penetration testing, computer forensics, network security, and contingency planning and disaster recovery planning. Program content is also designed to assist in the student's preparation for the CompTIA Security+ and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications.
