Early Childhood Education Post Basic - Infant,Toddler & Special Needs

The ECE Infant/Toddler and Special Needs program is an extension of our basic Early Childhood Education program. Courses in this program allow you to specialize in two very important areas of childcare and increase your opportunities for career and educational advancement as an ECE graduate.

You must be a certified Early Childhood Educator or in the process of completing the required 500 hours of work experience to enroll in this program. You may choose to specialize in one of two areas: Infant/ Toddler Specialization (working with children under three years old) and Special Needs Specialization (working with children who require extra support). Individual areas of specialization require the completion of seven courses and one practicum. Total specialization requires completion of all nine courses and two practicum placements. These advanced courses will quickly lead you to a License to Practice as a Special Needs Educator or a License to Practice as an Infant/ Toddler Educator.
