Insurance Billing and Coding Specialists are in high demand at doctors' offices, hospitals and insurance companies. Our program teaches students how to complete, process and maintain the millions of health insurance claims these organizations and their patients file each year. Students learn the coding used to identify and label medical conditions and procedures and how to use medical billing software.
This short term, career-focused program includes study in the classroom and at one of our externship locations. This mix of theory and real-world experience is helpful in today's job market. UMA students graduate with a Certificate of Completion and are qualified to help ensure that doctors and patients are appropriately reimbursed for their medical expenses. |
