Graduates of this diploma program work in pharmacy environments such as HMO pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and retail pharmacies such as those found in drug stores and supermarkets.

This program provides students with the theory and hands-on experience needed to obtain employment as a pharmacy technician. Students and graduates of this program are eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification test.

Many programs offered at Tucson College include an externship at an approved site upon completion of the required coursework. The externship provides the student with an actual work environment in which to apply skills learned in the classroom.
