Become a mechanical drafter by earning a Certificate in Drafting or an Associate of Applied Science degree. You'll learn to:

• Design machine tools and mechanical systems
• Prepare detail and assembly drawings of mechanical devices and machinery
• Use CADD systems to draw mechanical blueprints indicating dimensions, fasteners and other details
