The purpose of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Clinical Specialties is to prepare the student to perform clinically in a physician's office of other medical facility. The graduate possesses the skills necessary to obtain quality laboratory specimens, perform x-rays, handle the administrative duties, assist in patient care and examinations, as well as perform appropriate medical procedures.

Externships prepare the student to perform the roles of the medical assistant, phlebotomist, and limited medical radiographer, offering the graduate many avenues to pursue in finding employment in the medical community.
