The purpose of the Massage Therapy program is to prepare the student with the knowledge, skills and experience to be employed or self-employed as a massage therapist.

Graduates of this program will be able to implement a variety of massage techniques, perform client assessments and develop individualized therapeutic massage treatment plans, communicate effectively with clients, the general public and other healthcare professionals, make referrals, understand the psychological and professional boundary issues in a touch therapy practice, act based upon ethical standards of practice, and understand and practice wellness including proper biomechanics.  They will be prepared to obtain national certification, state licensure and local permits in massage therapy.
