The purpose of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist program is to prepare graduates to become medical coders, and then go beyond that to become skilled in reviewing rejected medical claims and prepare them for resubmission. This program prepares the graduate for future certification with various professional organizations.
