Southeastern Community College's Accounting
Program is designed to provide the students with the necessary
knowledge and skills for entry-level accounting positions.
This Associate of Applied Science Degree Program is four semesters
in length. The second year is comprised of advanced level
courses to increase the skill level of the student and thus
contribute to potentially more rapid advancement upon employment.
The Accounting Program will introduce the student to the
fundamentals of Accounting. The program will also take the
student through balance sheets, financial statements, income
tax, analysis and cost accounting. There are two (2) Accounting
Problem courses, which will give the student the opportunity
of in-depth application of the principles and procedures in
problem solving under the guidance and supervision of the
instructor.
