Bachelor of Science in Health Science, concentration Nuclear Medicine
The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Health Science, concentration Nuclear Medicine program is to provide a comprehensive educational program that prepares current radiologic technologists to become entry-level nuclear medicine technologists that provide quality patient care, actively participate in the profession, and pursue life-long learning. The program is designed for those current RT's seeking education beyond the associate degree level.
Program Goals:
- To train competent, efficient, and effective nuclear medicine technologists;
- To support the development of diverse skills to participate in current and emerging technologies;
- To encourage student scholarly and professional activities after graduation;
- To promote and enhance student development of integrative, critical thinking, and written, verbal, and computer-based communication skills.
Applicants interested in this program are required to visit the college and meet individually with an admissions representative and program faculty to ascertain if their goals can be met by the college. Requirements for general admission to the college include high school graduation or equivalent (GED) and a satisfactory score on the entrance examination administered by the college, the SAT, or the ACT.
Prospective students applying for admission must meet the following requirements:
- Have an earned college GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale (developmental studies grades/quality points excluded);
- Complete Radiography associate degree course requirements obtaining a grade of "C" or better within the first two attempts.
- Participate in an interview with the Admission's Committee
