Learn More About South Coast College
Overview

South Coast College has a rich history of success dating back to 1961. We have helped individuals improve their lives through education and career training for more than 45 years. Our caring, student-oriented environment differentiates us from other schools.

South Coast College was founded in 1961 in Long Beach, California, as a private college called Stenotype School of Long Beach. The School relocated to Westminster in 1974, and the corporate name was changed to Whitley College. In 1980, Orange County College of Court Reporting merged into Whitley College, and the name was changed to South Coast College. The School moved from Westminster to Anaheim in 1993. Then in 2001, South Coast College relocated to a larger, freeway-accessible facility in the city of Orange, where we currently help students like you prepare for legal and medical careers.

Over the past four decades, hundreds of South Coast College students have gained the knowledge and skills to improve their lives. We have only been successful as a school because of the students who have graduated from our programs and achieved great careers. We are very proud of our ability to help others set and obtain their career goals. We will continue to improve our programs and change to meet the challenges of today’s technology-based professions.

South Coast College has been helping students prepare for new, exciting careers in the legal and medical fields for more than 45 years. We are dedicated to providing a student-centered environment where you can gain the best legal and medical training possible.

We offer ideal facilities, resources and career-focused programs to help you gain the competitive edge employers look for. Our instructors are industry-proven professionals who care about helping you through every step of your educational journey.

Our friendly, student-oriented environment allows students to get one-on-one attention and academic guidance. Through classroom demonstrations, hands-on operation of equipment and by practicing on-the-job techniques in externships, our graduates are prepared to add value to their employers' organizations the day they begin work.
