Medical Office
This program is designed to emphasize the
essential skills necessary to function in the administrative
area of a medical office, clinic, or hospital department.
Students gain specific skills that are in demand; namely:
Insurance Coding, Medical Billing, Records Management, Claims
Processing as well as how to use leading Medical Manager software.
Classes focus on several key aspects required
for jobs including Administrative Medical Assistant, Medical
Office Specialist, Medical Secretary, Medical Records Clerk,
Medical Claims Processor, or Medical Insurance Biller. During
the course of the program students are taught, among other
concepts: Medical Terminology, Billing Fundamentals, Bookkeeping/Financial
Management, Psychology, Scheduling, as well as touching on
Medical Law, Liability and Ethics. Since this kind of work
requires interaction with patients, students are also taught
important methods to put patients at ease, explain physicians'
instructions, and to respect the confidential nature of medical
information.

Since Sanz School operates in Washington,
D.C., Maryland and Virginia we hold multiple licenses and
affiliations which vary from one campus to the other. All
three campuses are accredited by ACCET.
The Washington, D.C. campus is licensed by: Education Licensure
Commission of the District of Columbia and is also approved
for the training of eligible veterans.
The Virginia branch is licensed by: The Commonwealth of Virginia
Department of Education
The Maryland branch is licensed by: The Maryland Higher Education
