You may have known us as Ultrasound Diagnostic School, originally in Carle Place, NY in 1979. Over the years we have grown, and in March of 2004, we moved our campus to Garden City, NY. To reflect the expansion of our class offerings, we proudly became the Garden City campus of Sanford-Brown Institute.

Fast
At Sanford-Brown Institute, we focus your study into a short-term program enabling you the opportunity to customize your skills successfully to the specific needs of a future work setting. We enable adults to complete their programs of study in as little as nine months. Generally, classes start every five weeks, so you can get started quickly with convenient day and evening classes to meet your needs.

Focused
At Sanford-Brown, your studies focus primarily on the essential concepts and skills most employers look for in entry-level employees. Our goal is to provide you with the practical information and experience you need to get your foot in the door. We avoid requiring you to take courses that are not directly supportive of your employment objective.

Hands-On
Technology plays a major role in all the professions for which we train our students. That's why we use industry-current tools to help teach skills employers are seeking. During the hands-on component you will use industry-oriented equipment designed to hep you gain confidence and experience performing tasks that may be used on the job.

SBI is institutionally accredited (accredited in total) by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), a national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (DOE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Geographical Qualifications:
Student must be a United States resident and relocate to a Sanford-Brown Institute Campus Location to be considered for enrollment.

First, let's discuss the admissions procedures and requirements. All applicants are required to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative, either is person, by telephone or by email. The following items are required to complete the application process:

• Application for Admission
• Enrollment Agreement
• High School diploma, certificate or other proof of graduation from an institution providing secondary education, or the equivalent of such graduation, as recognized by the State of New York
• College transcripts and/or letters demonstrating work experience for programs where applicable
• Financial aid forms (if applicant wishes to apply for financial aid)
• Satisfactory personal interview with School official
• Statement of general health signed by the student
