The Certificate - Veterinary Assistant program at Sanford-Brown College is designed to provide students with the technical and practical training necessary to work as veterinary assistants who provide competent and humane care toward the emotional and physical well being of animals. The curriculum is structured to include a lecture component and a clinical component. The final portion of the curriculum consists of supervised experiences in a clinical environment. At the conclusion of the program, graduates who have diligently attended class and their externship, and practiced their skills should have the skills to seek entry-level employment as Veterinary Assistants or in a related field.
