Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice program at Sanford-Brown College - Fenton (SBC) is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the criminal justice field. The curriculum includes areas of study in law enforcement, law adjudication and corrections. At the completion of the program, graduates who have diligently attended class and their externship, studied and practiced their skills will earn a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Students in the Criminal Justice degree program should be aware that additional education may be required for certain employment positions, and that agencies and institutions that accept our students for externship placements and potential employers may conduct a criminal and/or personal background check. Some agencies and employers may require candidates to submit a drug test. Students with criminal records that include felonies or misdemeanors (including those that are drug-related) or personal background issues such as bankruptcy might not be accepted by these agencies for externship or employment placement following completion of the Criminal Justice degree program.
