Diploma - HVAC/R
You'll enjoy getting your hands dirty during Redstone's onsite facilities training. You will learn practical skills that are used daily by HVAC professionals in a simulated work environment. A few HVAC/R certification courses that our students enjoy most include:
- Refrigeration Fundamentals/Brazing
- Electricity for HVAC technicians
- Heating I and Split Systems
- Commercial Refrigeration I (CFC Certification)
- Print Reading/HVAC System Design
- Control System/Building Automation Fundamentals I & II
- Hydronic Heating - VAV/VVT
- Chiller Systems
Students get to work on quality, industry-standard equipment during heating and air conditioning training. They practice important skills that are needed for careers in HVAC/R. Lessons are taught by experienced professionals and can help students work towards HVAC certification. Courses focus on job training, which is important in this technical field. Onsite facilities training provides students with a work-like environment to enhance their heating and air conditioning training.
The 5-term Diploma Program covers:
- Fundamentals of Residential and Commercial HVAC/R
- Skills to service residential HVAC systems
- Electrical/mechanical controls and diagnostic skills
Besides helping to prepare you for HVAC certification, your training at Redstone College will prime you to be ready to take competency exams offered by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute after completing either the Diploma or the Associates Degree program.
