Master of Arts in Education - Teacher Leadership
 

The Olivet Teacher Leadership (TLED) program is designed for teachers seeking an Illinois Teacher Leader endorsement. Our TLED program blends exemplary teaching tools with leadership excellence and prepares teachers to take on leadership roles in the areas of curriculum and instruction.

Olivet Nazarene University's education programs, accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, are designed to equip educators with the knowledge they need to make a difference in the lives of every K-12 student in our schools. We believe in the influence of teachers. Course work touches a wide range of content pertaining to exemplary teaching and leadership and includes two 50-hour practicums. Upon completion, candidates will be eligible for the State of Illinois Teacher Leader endorsement.

Program offered is a Master Degree.

Olivet Nazarene University is committed to academic excellence. Nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

As part of the School of Education unit, the graduate education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). All of the courses have been specifically aligned with national content-specific standards and/or Illinois State Content Area Standards. Note: Since Olivet is accountable for aligning program/course content to state and national standards, transfer credit is not accepted for any of the advanced programs. In addition, the Illinois Department of Education has approved Olivet as a degree granting institution in teacher preparation and advanced master's degrees. The Illinois State Board of Education also has granted entitlement rights for certifications - Types 03, 09, 10, 73, and 75; and endorsements. These programs are approved by specialty organizations as well as the State of Illinois:
