The graduate of this program will be trained to perform general and administrative duties in doctors' offices, hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and other health care facilities. Graduates are trained in health information management and coding billing procedures.

• The Ohio Valley College of Technology is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award Occupational Associate Degrees in Applied Business and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
• OVCT's Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, on recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).
