Program Objective
The graphic design program at OIP&T will train you in the areas of design, illustration, and digital and multimedia preparation of printed and electronic materials. You will be introduced to basic drawing and composition skills essential to design layout, computer graphics presentation, and production of portfolio-quality projects.
In addition, you will have an opportunity to expand your conceptual and artistic talents, obtain a basic understanding of marketing principles and business ethics, and improve your communication and interpersonal skills.
The objective of the multimedia specialization is to provide students with the necessary skills for entry-level employment using multimedia technology in the graphic arts, video, interactive, and photographic fields. Instruction is broad based in electronic media and digital photographic production. Emphasis is placed on the design of media and combining graphics, and audio and video for electronic presentations and publications.
