Nossi College of Art teaches the skills you will use daily in your career. Our instructors are experienced professional graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and web designers who understand what employers are looking for when hiring.

Our students regularly enter and win local, regional and national competitions, such as the Annual Student ADDY Awards. Our photography students received every top award in every category for the 2006 competition held in March 2007. And for their total number of winning entries, Nossi College of Art was awarded the MVP College of the Year  by the Nashville Advertising Federation.

Our graphic design students have been winning top art awards since the Nashville Student ADDY Awards began. From the local competitions, our students go on to regional and then national Student ADDY Awards sponsored by the National Advertising Federation.

Admission

• All applicants must be high school graduates of an approved school
• All applicants must possess a regular High School Diploma or possess a High School General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with satisfactory scores. Proof of the High School Diploma or GED must be received prior to the end of the first semester of attendance.
• All applicants are required to tour the school facilities.
• All applicants are required to have a personal interview with the Admissions Director.
• AOS and BGA Graphic Art and Deisgn and BGA Illustration applicants are required to present their art portfolio to the College Director.
• AOS and BGA Photography major applicants are required to tour the college facilities and have a personal interview with the admissions office.

Financial Aid

Nossi College of Art is approved to offer several programs through which students may apply for financial aid. These programs include Federal Pell Grant, Federal Family Education Loan Program, Social Security and United States Department of Veteran's Affairs, Tennessee Student Assistance Award, and Federal (Parents) Plus Loan. In addition, Nossi College of Art offers several art and photography scholarships.

The college maintains a Financial Aid Director and staff to assist students in applying for aid in which they may qualify. Complete details about qualifications may be obtained through that office.

JOB PLACEMENT

Nossi College of Art's Job Placement Department is as important as any other department at the college. Our Job Placement Director works closely with instructors of courses in Small Business Management and Portfolio/Resume and Career Preparation to prepare our graduates for the industry.

AWARDS

The following awards are given each semester to students for their accomplishments:
GPA Awards (3.6 and higher): certificates are given to these students.
Most Class Participation: certificates and a gift certificate are given to these students.
Most Improved: certificates and a gift certificate are given to these students.
Most Creative: certificates and a gift certificate are given to these students.
Talent Discovery Award: certificates and a $400 check are given to these students.
