Cisco CCSP ![]() The Network security field is the one of the fastest growing fields in technology, the demand for knowledgeable technicians is at an all time high, the purpose of this eight week course is to give students the hands on knowledge and confidence to design, install and support the security components that are vital to today's networks The Cisco Security Specialist 1 designation validates skills and knowledge in three key areas of network security: firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks. This course is presented using a combination of lecture and lab activities and incorporates all the material you need to pass the CSPFA (Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Advanced), CSVPN (Cisco Secure VPNs), CSIDS (Cisco Secure Intrusion Detection Systems) and MCNS (Managing Cisco Network Security) exams. Although the course focuses on using Cisco products to secure corporate networks, the skills and principles learned here can be applied to other vendor based networks. Note: It is recommended that students have a working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals, as well as a CCNA or CCNA level knowledge of Cisco devices. |
