Students in the Medical Assisting Exam Success class at the Knoxville Campus recently achieved their goal to become Registered Medical Assistants (RMAs). Twenty-nine students passed the certification exam administered by Director of Health Care Education Rhonda Epps-a passing rate of more than 96%.

The medical assisting students compared with each other their experience of the exam; some focused more on terminology while others had more anatomy or administrative test questions.  However, all students were confident that regardless of the type of questions they could have been given on this exam, they felt prepared to handle any type of question.

Now that the exam is behind them, they are all very glad to have achieved this professional credential as it will increase their job opportunities. Rhonda developed a sound curriculum to prepare students for the test and she plans to continue teaching the class for rising medical assistants so she can ensure future success.
