Accounting Bachelor of Science Degree
Offered at Albuquerque, Brooklyn Center, Colorado Springs, Denver, Independence, Mall of America, Rapid City, Roseville, and Sioux Falls.

National American University's Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree program is designed to provide students with the preparation needed to sit for the certified managerial accounting (CMA) exam as well as the certified public accountant (CPA) exam in those states not requiring the fifth year of education. Students planning on taking the exam in these states will take the CPA review courses as part of their undergraduate degree. Graduates of the accounting program will find many opportunities as private accountants for corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships, government agencies or non-profit organizations. They may also find opportunities to secure positions leading to executive management in large corporations. Graduates electing to take the CPA track have the above opportunities plus possible employment with a CPA firm or starting their own public accounting business. Many accountants also work outside the field of accounting in finance, banking, insurance or human resource management to name just a few. Accounting Associate of Applied Science Degree

The associate of applied science degree in accounting program provides specialized education for various entry-level positions in the accounting profession. It is designed for easy transfer into the bachelor's degree in accounting. Graduates of this program can expect to find employment as accounting technicians, payroll clerks, bookkeepers or clerical assistants in business, government, or non-profit organizations. With experience, the graduate may qualify for more advanced positions, such as payroll supervisor, lead accountant or tax specialist.
