Polysomnographic technologists are employed in sleep disorder centers in hospitals, clinics, and office settings. The polysomnography program at Miller-Motte provides students with the background in assisting physicians with testing, monitoring, and treating problems associated with sleep disorders. Students acquire knowledge regarding respiratory diseases and other cardiopulmonary disorders and receive training in polysomnography procedures. Students will complete theory classes as well as hands on training in this program. Graduates may seek entry-level employment as sleep technicians or polysomnography technicians in physician offices, clinics, laboratories, hospitals, group practices, and sleep specialty practices.
