Designed in response to a growing need for criminal justice experts, Loyola's MSCJA appeals to both public and private practitioners already working in the field. Long-term trends indicate modern public law enforcement agencies and corporate governance and security entities employ many of the same concepts, skills, and frameworks. The Justice Administration specialization focuses on public law enforcement and covers a broad spectrum of topics such as organizational structure, leadership effectiveness, fiscal and resource management, personnel training and development, and emerging technologies used in law enforcement. The program will help to develop skills that are relevant to the effective management and administration of a law enforcement agency. This specialization will also benefit individuals in the public sector who aspire to move into the private sector. The curriculum in this program has been designed to include a number of "carry over" skills applicable to either the public or private justice administration fields.
