Our comprehensive Criminal Justice program will teach you the skills you'll need to develop a career in the criminal justice field. These skills will give you a greater understanding of the nature of crime as well as the personnel, institutions and processes that prevent or respond to crime.
You'll learn both the theory and practice of the criminal justice system through a curriculum that covers crime and criminal behavior, law enforcement, courts, corrections, security and investigation. It's an education that provides a solid foundation for entry into a variety of criminal justice professions.
Upon graduation, you'll be able to apply for entry-level employment at the local, state and federal level of government, as well as in the private sector. Some government jobs include:

DISC: Employment opportunities in some of these areas may require additional training and testing provided only by the hiring agency or company. Police officer is an example of such employment. The student may be required to attend an externship not located in the capitol region and/or not consistent to school hours. For example, the extern may be assigned to attend their site on weekends, nights, overnight, etc. Any student having any type of criminal record may be impeded from applying for employment based on an individual employer's hiring criteria.
