MSN - Nurse Informatics
Advanced careers in informatics require a blended background in nursing, computer science, and information technology. Many organizations rely on the skills of a nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing to manage and communicate nursing data and information to improve decision making by clients, patients, nurses, and other health care providers. This specialization's hands-on practicum enables Kaplan University nursing students to apply their knowledge of medical data and information systems in a real-world setting. The program is designed to prepare you for the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Informatics Nursing certification exam.†
† Although certain programs at Kaplan University are designed to prepare students to take various certification or licensing exams, the University cannot guarantee the student will be eligible to sit for or pass those exams. In some cases, field experience, additional coursework, and/or background checks may be necessary to be eligible to take or to successfully pass the exams.
