The purpose of this Automated Manufacturing Technology program is to help graduates begin to prepare for careers in a variety of entry-level positions in various fields involving automated manufacturing technology.

This program includes electronics, science, mathematics and lifelong learning courses in the earlier quarters and then expands upon this foundation through the study of subjects in the upper division such as hydraulics/pneumatics, robotic systems, computer programming, process control, production and operations management, calculus and further lifelong learning coursework.

Graduates of this program may begin to pursue career opportunities in a variety of entry-level positions such as technical sales representative, automation technician, machine technician, manufacturing technician, process control technician, field service technician and production maintenance technician.

Many industrial companies are improving their production operations in order to meet changing technology.
