This program provides an overview of legal principles, practices and procedures. Areas of study include law office procedures, word processing, legal theory and the practical application of the law in various law settings. Paralegals will also learn how to represent clients in Small Claims Court. Herzing College’s Paralegal program has been approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities for the Law Society under Bill 14. Graduates may choose to work in a law firm or establish their own Paralegal practice once they have passed the exam through the Law Society to become a licensed Paralegal. Herzing College offers a one-year diploma program that includes a one-month internship to gain work experience.
