Program offered is an Associate Degree.

This program is designed to provide specific preparation for private and public accounting as well as the advanced areas of general accounting. Graduates are prepared for positions in private business, public accounting, and government. The program provides an excellent foundation for the student to begin a career in cost accounting, tax accounting, or internal auditing.

Career & Skills

An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is an excellent way to enter a career in Accounting. If you choose to go on and pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, many or all of your previously earned credits will be applied toward the continued program at Harrison College. As with any additional college, entering the Accounting field with a BS typically offers a wider variety of job opportunities, a more direct path to management level positions, and a higher starting salary.

  • Utilize basic accounting and bookkeeping theories, terminology and standard practices
