Practical Nurse
The objective of the Practical Nursing program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills and work habits required for an entry-level position as a Practical Nurse. Students are trained to give direct care to clients under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse. Nursing responsibilities may include direct patient care, the administration of medication and the application of procedures and treatments.
The length of the program for day students is 50 weeks. All students must complete the program with 92 credit hours. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded a diploma. This program is represented to lead to multiple job opportunities and is not meant to lead to any particular outcome, including that specified in the program title. Although the College will assist the student with job placement, finding a job is the ultimate responsibility of the student. The College does not guarantee that any student will be placed in any particular job, or at all.
