The objective of the Medical Transcription program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for an entry-level position in medical transcriptionist positions.

Keyboarding accuracy and speed are emphasized along with medical terminology. Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will be awarded a certificate. Duties for the graduates of this program may include transcription of medical documents using computer technology and development of proofreading and editing skills.
