Criminal Justice
The objective of the Criminal Justice program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for an entry-level position in the criminal justice field. The Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice offers a level of training that provides the student with a solid foundation in criminal justice and liberal arts knowledge base. Graduates of this program may enter employment in various criminal justice environments, such as police departments or other law enforcement offices, correctional facilities, or private sector security.
The length of the program is 80 weeks for day students or 80 weeks for night students, including an externship of 120 hours. All students must complete the program with 96 credit hours. This program is represented to lead to multiple job opportunities and is not meant to lead to any particular outcome, including that specified in the program title. Although the College will assist the student with job placement, finding a job is the ultimate responsibility of the student. The College does not guarantee that any student will be place in any particular job, or at all.
