2+2 Bachelor Degree option
Hamilton College is proud to offer the 2+2 Bachelor of Science in Managment degree with concentrations in Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice and Management of Information Systems. Students who have earned an AAS, AS or an AA degree from an accredited college may have their credits accepted for transfer under the 2+2 Option. However, Associate degrees and credits earned at institutions that fall in the category of remedial, vocational or technical - or credit in courses or programs that Hamilton College does not offer - may not be accepted for transfer under this option. Therefore, the 90 quarter credits listed for the Associate Degree Requirements should be considered as the maximum allowed for transfer credit under this option. In addition to possessing an Associate degree, students applying for admission under this option must also complete all prerequisites required for the Bachelor's degree courses. The 2+2 Bachelor of Science in Management Degree option is an innovative progam that combines the career-oriented focus of a two-year program with the academic curriculum of a four-year program. Hamilton College has a well-established and long-standing reputation for providing hands-on training in a student-centered learning environment. Through the 2+2 option, students receive the same advantages of a two-year program while having an opportunity to expand upon their base knowledge while working toward the Bachelor of Science in Management degree. The flexibility inherent in the two-step process is unparalleled; upon completion of an Associate degree, students have the option of joining the work force, continuing toward a Bachelor's degree, or combining work and education by attending school in the evening or online. The emphasis on career courses in the first two years of study allow students to join the work force with the skills necessary to succeed, and still pursue their lifelong learning aims at the same setting or online adds further flexibility and convenience for students who may have other time constraints from an active lifestyle.
