The Barber Styling Program at FORTIS can prepare you to become a professional Barber, capable of pursuing a career as a barbering professional, working in a variety of styling salon environments or operating a private business.

As a student, you will gain and develop a variety of skills useful in the practice of barbering. Courses throughout the program balance the technical skills required in the ever-expanding profession of barbering with a strong grounding in personal growth and skill and technique development.

You will learn barbering by studying and practicing techniques in a wide range of modalities, including haircutting, creative hair styling, coloring, nail technology, skin care, chemistry, facials, and business management.

Throughout the course of training you'll be able to perform in a supervised Student Barbering Clinic, during which you can participate in and perform actual cosmetology services with clients from the general public.
