The NEW Therapeutic Massage program at Florida Career Institute provides the skills and knowledge necessary to become a massage therapist. Students adopt a variety of techniques of therapeutic massage and learn proper body mechanics that enable them to enjoy rewarding careers in a variety of settings. Students gain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology while practicing and mastering the techniques of: Swedish massage, sports/athletic massage, hydrotherapy, orthopedic massage, spa/body treatments, neuromuscular therapy and Eastern-related modalities. Graduates possess the diversified skills and knowledge to begin new and exciting careers in Massage Therapy. Students receive extensive preparation and practice in taking the NCBTMB exam, which must be passed for Florida state licensure.
