The physiotherapist assistant program is designed to train students for careers working under the supervision of Physiotherapists. Students will learn a variety of skills needed to appropriately assist patients and therapists within a health care facility.

Students will learn anatomic terminology, types of range of motion, basic techniques for limb and patient handling, stretching techniques, resistance exercises, practical application of heat and cold, shortwave diathermy, therapeutic ultrasound, cervical and lumbar traction, and much more.

Students will also take a career and employment strategies course that will provide techniques on job interviewing, resume preparation, writing thank you letters, and job search management.
