If you have completed your education or certification in strategic management you can then look for a job.  Many times people are concerned about the strategic management salary that they will receive.  This is a normal concern due to the high cost of living in many areas as well as the high cost for an education.  After graduating, there is a large chance that sooner after, you will begin receiving bills for you to repay your tuition.  And, may people begin a family after graduation and that is even of more concern to find a job and career that will have a substantial paycheck.

The three main job opportunities in strategic management are consultants, managers and planners.  The consultant jobs are highly sought after and are very competitive among recent graduates.  Depending on the area where you live and the population, will determine the strategic management salary you will make.  

When looking for a job and strategic management salary, understand that the starting salary will greatly differ with time.  A professional that is just out of college and entering the field as a strategic management consultant will most commonly make anywhere from $50,000 to $100,000 a year.  In fact, right out of a college and at the right firm, a recent graduate can make over $120,000 just starting.  The normal raise is around twenty percent every year.  This means that once you are a senior consultant or one who has stayed with the company for many years you could be making over $1.5 to $2 million a year!

Another level of strategic management salary is as a manager.  This position normally starts around $80,000 a year and will increase yearly with raises.  Generally a management position will allow you have a company car, expense account, stock options and other regular bonuses.  This is the category that includes the CEO of a company and there are instances where this position will make over $3 million a year, not including bonuses and other extras.  Most commonly a strategic management position will have a salary of around $155,000 a year.

As a strategic planner, the money is not as high as the other strategic management positions, but it is still higher than the normal income for a household.  Generally the strategic management salary of a planner is around $110,000.  However, as with all other positions, if you are producing good work and are making progress for success in the company, you will more than likely receive yearly raises and bonuses.  Overall, there are many opportunities to reach monetary and personal success when working in any of the many strategic management careers.
