Executive Accounting Graduate

Executive Accounting Graduate - Occupations That Will Fit YouAn executive accounting graduate will be able to find a job in almost any field. Since most graduates already have a background in some professional field, such as law or managerial experience, they will be doubly prepared to enter the accounting field after graduation. Each graduate will have to take into consideration their own individual circumstances before deciding which field they want to go into. Of course, some people will already have that field in mind when they go into executive accounting. Others may have no idea which field they want to enter, even after they graduate. If you're one of these people, don't worry. There are several places that you can look to find an occupation that will fit you.

Law firms always need accountants. They have money coming in and out all the time that needs to be recorded and dispensed in the proper manner. Not only do they have employees that they need to pay, but they also have to bill clients, issue settlement checks, and keep good records of all of this so that they can properly file for taxes the next year. There is a lot of work that goes into keeping the finances of a law firm organized. As an executive accounting graduate, you will more than likely want to start your search there. You may find yourself in a high pressure and sometimes stressful environment, but you will be on a team of individuals who will be able to help you shoulder the responsibility.

It is also possible to go into the healthcare field. Hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities have the same needs that law firms have, if not more. Since there are different departments of medicine housed in a hospital, and insurance billings occur daily, an executive accounting graduate will find plenty of work. Hospitals also have a lot of write offs, since many bills to patients wind up being unpaid, or are written off as charity. Even if you only work in accounts billable, you're still using your skills to help out an organization that needs you.

As an executive accounting graduate, you can also consider work in the non-profit field. There are many organizations that need help managing their finances. There are certain financial laws that apply only to non-profit organizations. Even if you aren't familiar with these laws, you may be able to get on-the-job training that can help you to further your career later on in life.
