Business Administration Salary

Business Administration Salary - What Does a Business Degree Pay?When it comes to a business administration degree, it is difficult to know exactly what you should expert in terms of a salary. This is because business administration salary offerings can differ broadly within the discipline. The business administration discipline is extremely broad, and as such it opens up a wide variety of different potential career paths. Each of these career paths is going to vary greatly as well in terms of supply and demand and subsequent salary requirements. If you want to know what the salary will be like for a particular business administration career, you need to know what career path you are looking to pursue.

Generally speaking, business administration salary numbers are going to run along the higher end of the salary spectrum. This is primarily because jobs relating to a business administration degree are currently quite in high demand. Employees that hold business administration degrees are in high demand, and employees that have a strong background in business are highly sought after, and therefore many employees are willing to pay more money for them. When it comes to business administration majors, you really do get what you pay for. According to NACE, the National Association of Colleges and Employees, surveys are showing that the salaries associated with business administration degrees are climbing.

Before a student can determine what business administration salary to expect, they need to decide if they are going to pursue a standard business administration degree or a business administration degree with a specialization such as in finance or economics. Once a student knows what kind of business degree they are going to pursue, they can get a much better idea of what kinds of jobs are opened up to them. The types of salaries that a student can expect are going to depend on the types of jobs that they are prepared to fill upon graduating from college.

According to a website called PayScale.com, people who have an associate's degree in the field of business administration can expect to walk into most entry-level business administration jobs with a salary of between $32,000 and $43,000 dollars per year. The business administration salary can climb beyond this for every subsequent type of degree. For example, someone with a bachelor's degree in business administration can walk into the same types of entry-level jobs but can expect to earn between $2000 and $5000 dollars more than someone who has an associate's degree in business administration.

Furthermore, a student with a Master's in Business Administration, also known as an MBA, can expect to fill the same types of positions but can earn as much as $7000 or $11000 dollars more than individuals that have an associate's or a bachelor's degree in business administration. It should be pretty apparent that business administration salary offers can vary widely depending on the type of degree that a graduate holds and what type of job they are filling fresh out of college upon walking into a new position.
