Our Medical Assistant program in Minnesota prepares graduates to perform as multi-skilled practitioners qualified to provide healthcare under the direct supervision of a physician in a doctor’s office, hospital or clinic. Performing a wide range of skills, the Medical Assistant will be able to meet the demands of a rapidly changing healthcare field. Our Medical Assistant classes can teach you secretarial skills, scheduling and receiving patients, handling incoming mail, correspondence, filing, insurance claims, patient accounting and collection, scheduling and performing a wide range of diagnostic tests, CPR, EKGs, injections, assisting the physician with minor surgeries, and handling some emergency situations. Please realize these are only examples of many opportunities that may be available to qualified graduates.
