Students entering this field of study have three separate options to choose from to allow maximum utilization of this degree.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT OPTION
This ASB degree program is designed for students to develop advanced-level office, communications, and microcomputer skills; and to introduce management and supervision principles and procedures. Graduates of this program meet the job-skill requirements for a position such as Administrative Assistant, Software Applications Specialist, Executive Secretary, or Office Manager Trainee.
WEB FOCUS OPTION
This ASB degree program is designed for students to develop advanced-level office, communications, and microcomputer skills; to introduce management and supervision principles and procedures; to prepare students for software certification examinations; and to develop multimedia, imaging, web building and design concepts and Internet basics and protocols. Graduates of this program meet the job-skill requirements for a position such as Desktop Publisher, Web Designer, Web Producer, Web Developer, Graphic Designer, Networking Assistant, Internetworking Technician, or Office Manager Trainee.
SYSTEM SPECIALIST OPTION
This ASB degree program is designed for students to develop advanced-level office, communications, and microcomputer skills; to introduce management and supervision principles and procedures; and to develop computer diagnostic and troubleshooting skills which include installation and upgrading of computers, LAN and WAN basics, and programming Cisco routers. Graduates of this program meet the job-skill requirements for a position such as Installation Technician, PC Help Desk Specialist, PC Repair Technician, PC Consultant, Internetworking Technician, Network Manager, Network Consultant, System Administrator, Hardware Service Technician, or Office Manager Trainee. |
