Becoming a medical assistant, you will join a rapidly expanding segment of the work force. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, medical assisting is one of the fastest growing professions.

This clinical track's purpose is to prepare you for AMT'S RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification for entry-level positions as a medical assistant in a physician's office or clinic.

Your training will focus on examining room procedures, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, performing routine laboratory procedures, sterilizing and maintaining equipment, and the proper techniques for administering medications as directed by the physician. Your training also includes execution of administrative duties.
